Creating and editing my CCR

 Well, I think I underestimated how long it would take me to do my CCR. It took me not that long to film but it was longer editing and inserting the little clips. I created a messy script on my iPad: 

This helped me a lot thought the video. The video is basically a vlog talking about the process and what technologies I used.

Finishing up

      Right now, I finished filming and I am going to start editing I am going to edit separate ones then combine them altogether. I had difficulty choosing a font for for the credits but I finally chose one and here is the font I chose:

The rest is a secret, I don't want to give to much away on my entire film.....

A change....

 Well... 

     After 2 attempts of changing the conversation and attempting to fix it, it did not work well. I have decided to change it now I know I'm in a time crunch but I think I can do it. I have already started filming and created the entire idea. What I am going to do is have kind of memory flashbacks of how perfect everything is then cut to her waking up and trying to be perfect. I am going to put little clips of her memory of perfect thing here's one: 

Filming

      I have just finished filming the start of my movie and it is going nicely. I had a problem with timing making sure to not go past the time limit. I have not yet put together all the videos all though I predict it will be around 22 seconds. 

    Another difficulty was making sure the Filmer was not in the mirror which got her to be in the frame. This accident happened multiple times so we had to repeat again and again. To make the filming steady I had to use a tripod it was a little hard to use but got used to it. I used the 'Joby' tripod. This device came very handy when moving with the camera.

preparing my room

    For the 'start' of the film I had to make sure my room was clean and nicely put. With "Infernal" being perfect I had to make it more clear with the room looking perfect. 

 

 

It took me a little while deciding on what was going and what was staying. But I really thought the simpler the better due to infernal being perfect and simple.

Creating the transition

 Currently I am making my second part of the transition which is the slamming of the door and showing the title. 

      So far it is going good and this transition looks like it will be longer than I expected I am thinking around 10 to 15 seconds. I used the photoshop express app on my iPad to overlap the infernal title on my door. I am thinking to slow zoom into the title in someway and transition it to inside the room. I am really glad the progress is going good so far. 

Editing the coversation

       I have started to edit the film on the iMovie app on my iPad. It was 36 seconds which makes me about short on time but when I add Eden getting out of the car scene it will pass 40 seconds. 

It was a little difficult editing and making sure the scenes blended nicely together. The part that now has me worrying is making sure the scene where eden storms out of the car does not look different from this scene due to the lighting.

filming

      I started to film with my friend in the car. It was the 40 second conversation. This took longer than I thought it would but in the end we got it finished. In the film I am wearing a hoodie. I changed the outfit to make myself more covered up just like how Eden is. Mary on the other hand is wearing a white plain shirt to show the simplicity of the world.

Setting up

 Today, I wanted to set up my room to really embody the room of Eden and I wanted to choose the outfit for Eden. The main focus when I set up my room is setting up the library. I want the library to be neutral and all pastel so my book can really stick out. 

   I really like this I might add more books to make it look more camouflage or add less to make it stick out more. 

     For the outfit, I wanted to look kind of perfect, I wanted to do a white skirt and a grey sweater to make the look neutral and not let anything be known in the beginning. 

I am not sure what neutral color sweater to wear yet, I am thinking of a grey sweater.  I will be starting to film next week and I cannot wait. 

CCR lesson

        I learned a lesson about CCR videos with my teacher and it got me to start thinking about it. What I am thinking to do is the day of filming the continuation of my film I will create my CCR by doing a question and answer inside the set. I want to do a twist of 73 question with me in the place that I shot the film which is my room. I will be talking acting like it is an interview with the camera person acting like the question person but also mentioning how I am the director and I am showing the set.

   This Vogue 73 questions with me is my inspiration but I will do it with a twist by being in the set of "Infernal".

Fixing the title

      For my title,  I wanted to change it to something nicer and something that could look visually pleasing.  The title and font will stay although the color will not. I got this with the idea of the book. Since the book prop was red I wanted the title to be red to but not entirely almost a gradient type of title. 

       I really liked how it turned out. It really represents the movie due to the title slowly changing into another color just like the town truly being another thing. I am thinking to print this and paste it on my door or edit in the title. It really depends on how it will look filming day.

Creating my first prop

       
My first prop will be the book I wanted the book to stick out  little but not to much so I chose my book "Good girl, Bad blood". When taking the cover of the book, the spine of the book is white and the rest is white. Which is perfect due to white symbolizing purity and red symbolizing danger this correlates with the idea that everything is not what it seems and the red warns the viewer something bad is about to happen.

 
I crossed out the words with black pen as planned and I like how it turned out. I didn't want there to be to many crossed out words but not to little. 

Creating the script

 I started creating my script for the 40 second conversation and I think its good. Next class, I am going to show my friend what I have done and what they think. This is the biggest section of the film so I went it to be really well done and hearing what my peers think about the script. will help me make changes. I am sure that I will change the script at least a little, it is my draft after all. 

      I wanted to make sure that it shows that Mary is very uptight and perfect in the script. I also wanted her to show that she looks down on Eden, she is better than her. Eden on the other hand shows that she doesn't like 'infernal' and she's rebellious. 

Story Board

 I created a storyboard to really get the idea of what I want to film and how I am going to film it. The storyboard gave me a chance to change a few things and get new ideas. 

        I had trouble lengthening the film without making the added scene look forced. I realized creating this I had difficulty, introducing the world and letting the viewer know it is too perfect. So, I created a character she is the opposite of Eden, her name is Mary. She was named Mary due to her having a biblical reference just like Eden. I also wanted Mary to have a name that was very generic and basic, something that does not stick out, which shows that she fits in perfectly. I will introduce this by. Mary driving the car and her having a conversation my hope is to show the the town is crazily perfect in this conversation and Eden is against it.
